Girls Night In FTW

We are pretty deep into season 8 of Vanderpump Rules and so far it has been pretty good. Of course, I am in love with Stassi and Beau's relationship, nauseated by Scheana and her antics but a few random things have caught me off guard and I wanted to discuss.

First off I am a little worried about Ariana and Tom's relationship. Tom is so in love with her but she isn't willing to give him anything he desires in the future for the relationship to work out long term. I wish that he would stand his ground, even pull a Katie if he has to and if she doesn't comply then they aren't a perfect pair. Not that she has to do what he says but he shouldn't constantly be longing for something that he knows will never happen. I want them to be happy and at this point, I think they would be happier apart. It reminds me of Cristina and Owen in Grey's Anatomy. He wanted kids but she didn't and it ruined their relationship no matter how much love they had for each other.

Ariana used to PREACH to Scheana about how she was selling her soul to be a part of the "in crowd" i.e. the Witched of WeHo and now look at her. Scheana is over it and basically has her own solo show while Ariana is throwing a conjoined party with Stassi. Though they treat Ariana as an equal and they treated Scheana as a servant I just feel bad for Scheana (a sentence I never thought I would say). Her best friend is a hypocrite and that can't be easy to watch.

Lala used to be my ride or die. After I got her on the BuzzFeed quiz of "Which Vanderpump Rules cast member are you?" I never looked back. I have always loved her sense of confidence and unapologetic attitude towards everything. That is until this season. For some reason, she thinks she is above everyone around her when in reality she is the youngest of them all and is still only a hostess at SUR. I know she has other endeavors that keep her busy such as, her acting career but I need her to step off her pedistole for a minute and be relatable. Bring Randall on or at least let her guard down for just one second, long enough for us to get to her know her. She is guarded and wishy-washy two things that are not so likable. She is very Erika Jayne adjacent. Her talk with James was supposed to be "so real" she wasn't even going to put fake lashes on for it. That was a joke, It took her .2 seconds to fall for his tricks and then it took Katie .2 seconds to convince her otherwise. I wouldn't say Lala is a people pleaser, she is just too mentally immature to navigate herself through this drama independently which causes her to constantly be changing her mind on things.

Billie Lee is a whole other story that I think is already exhausted. No one likes her and the producers had to pull innocent SUR employees to talk to her because no one from the main cast was on her side. Pulling the trans card for that was unnecessary. I have been watching that whole cast post about Pride Parade for years now I highly doubt they were not including her as an attack on the transgender population. Calling then cis-privilege was just a sad attempt to become a main cast member. Well, I have news for you Billie, it is not working and you just made yourself 10x more unlikable than you were before. Also good for the girls for taking it upon themselves to show Lisa that they can make just as much money as James on C U Next Tuesday. They can't say this on the show but the reason there was such a good turn-out on C U Next Tuesday was that it was a guaranteed way for fans to meet a cast member. Changing it to Girls Night probably bought in more revenue because the girls are more popular than James and Raquel in my book. Unfortunately, we know that C U Next Tuesday comes back but I don't think putting on "Girls Night In" at least once a month would be a bad idea business wise.
