It's already been two weeks?!

If you have been keeping up with my latest adventures you know that I have moved to Nashville about a for an internship at FOX17. I cannot believe it has already been two weeks!!!! Time is flying by so fast and that means that the summer is going to be over before I know it.

Frequently asked questions:

How did you get the internship?

I have no idea. I applied to A LOT, I mean like A LOT A LOT and this is the one and only one that got back to me. It also happens to be the first one I applied to so that's cute.

How did you decide where you were going to live?

Everything just kind of fell into place once I found out I got the internship and I started to ask around the last few weeks of school. I ended up in the most perfect home with the best family. Shout out to the Quinn's!!!!

What do you do at the internship?

Follow around whoever they tell me to talk to, help write stories about local news, tweet, instagram, just typical newsy stuff. So far I have learned more than I did during my entire freshman year of college.

I work at the digital media desk Tuesday through Thursday, which I have absolutely fell in love with. Then on Mondays I go in to work at 2:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the morning show.

This week I have been driving around Nashville trying to get pictures of all of the murals in town. It is a nearly impossible task considering how many there are, but so far I have 53 and there are still so so many more to go.

Who do you hang out with? Do you have any friends?

I try to stay busy with blogging, interning, working out and nannying so I don't feel lonely.

Watching Bravo can turn into a full-time job within itself between the millions of recap podcasts, Radio Andy, and actually keeping up with each show. I am a busy bee.

The family I am living with is amazing so they are always there if I need another human being to talk to besides co-workers but I often spend the time I am not at the station or nannying, in my room working on posts for POSH.

Have you explored the city?

By default, yes. Since my project this past week at work has been to get pictures of the murals in Nashville, I have ended up learning my way around this city.

I love it, there are so many places I need to visit, eat at and experience I just need to make some friends who can go and do things with me.

Don't you miss home?

I mean obviously I miss my family and the shopping in Dallas but the actual idea of going back to Flower Mound for an entire summer makes me crazy. I have spent 18 years of my life in Flower Mound, TX it was time to move on and see what else the world had to offer.

I am loving living in Nashville, I wouldn't want to spend my summer anywhere else. FOX17 is the perfect station for my first internship. Everyone is so nice and eager to help me succeed. Enlightening me with any piece of advice they can think of. I need to start keeping a journal so I don't forget it all ;))
