Pump Rules Finale

I was more than ready to see the finished product of the Bubbas' wedding by the time this episode finally aired. They DREW THIS WEDDING OUT, each week I was eager to watch Katie make her way down the aisle but each week they ended the episode RIGHT BEFORE she got there. When Scheana was getting married she didn't include us in her planning which caused me to judge the wedding for what it truly was when I finally saw it. Katie and Tom let us in on what I would like to believe was every detail, down to the cost of this gorgeous wedding. By including us in each step of their relationship, definitely caused a few (a LOT) more tears to fall when it came time for Katie to walk down the aisle.

This season has been heartbreaking to watch and the finale wasn't any less of an emotional roller coaster. I like that Katie and Tom laid out all of their problems all season, I can't stand the fact that we know almost nothing about Scheana and Shay then all of a sudden I am supposed to be in shock that they are getting divorced? As far as I am concerned they were never truly in love. Lisa Vanderpump said it best when she told Scheana that the whole marriage had been a lie since the beginning. Scheana has already moved on to a new man! As for Mr. and Mrs. Bubba, my heart broke more as each episode progressed they fought so much this season! I couldn't take it, luckily the blessing of reality TV is that this was filmed a year ago and I thankfully have the comfort that they do indeed end up getting married. Even with an ensured happy ending my heart would race each fight they had.

My first thought when the show started was "oh, my. God. This wedding is beautiful.". Every little thing down to the vail on Katie's head was PERFECT. Tom wrote in his blog post after the show that, "Seeing Katie in the dress the first time, was breathtaking. I'll never forget seeing her walking down to the stream. She seemed to float down there and had a halo like glow as she did so." I love Tom Schwartz. Katie and Tom have always been a part of Pump Rules but they were incredibly irrelevant until Stassi disappeared. They had to come up with a way to weave her back in to the plot line when she came crawling back from NYC after hitting what she describes as "rock bottom". As much as Katie and Tom fight they have worked through all of their issues and here they are getting married. It is so fun to watch a successful relationship make it out of this mess of a friend group and I wish the best of luck to them for their future.

You guys...I am in love with Tom Schwartz, he is so C.U.T.E. and sensitive. Watching the tears slip down his face, knowing all that it took for him to get to this point was magical. Then cutting to Katie's confessional "This ring is not on a string", I can't be the only one who was dying!!! Every one of the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen have invested so much into their friendships/Tom and Katie's relationship that even they could not help but cry as they watched them finally tie the knot. Hearing their individual journeys with them as a couple during the reception was refreshing to hear yet also tacky, considering he language they were using...

Clearly this is my favorite show on TV and I am devastated to say goodbye to the Pump Rules family until next season. At least I still a have month of reunions to look forward too!

P.S. When Stassi and Ariana had their chat at the reception it was like my worlds were colliding, they are no doubt my two FAVORITE people on this show and watching them get along made my heart so happy. I know they are back to being enemies, mainly due to Ariana's refusal to put up with people like Stassi. I will also give some of the blame to Stassi, considering her stubbornness and ability to hold a grudge. I was just mainly happy they were able to be civil and I had a gleamer of hope when they bonded over their love of murder. Even if it was only for one night Stassi and Ariana getting along was the highlight of that entire episode... sorry Bubs!!!

XOXO
