One of the most painful things about snapchat during spring break is tapping through stories, watching your friends go on exotic vacations while you are trapped in Flower Mound, where it seems like the most exciting thing to do is climb the mound. Last year I went to California for Spring Break, so this year when I found out I was just staying in the breathtaking town of Flower Mound, I was less than thrilled. Other than going out to eat or seeing a movie you have to be pretty creative to think of things to entertain you here. Luckily it did not turn out to be as bad as I had thought, thanks to Matthew.
Yesterday Matthew took me on a hike, the weather was PERFECT. If you haven't noticed already, I am not very much of an "outdoorsy gal" so going on a hike was never the first thing on my list of "fun" activities. After looking past the thought of getting a sunburn and the terrifying return of mosquitos I dread every summer I was able to have fun. The trail to the lake is in my neighborhood and open to the public, but you have to walk through someone's backyard to get to it. Of course as soon as we got there a dog came out of no where and bolted at us, like usual, I screeched while Matthew laughed at me, a typical day in the life of Annie Sharp. We walked on the trail for about two hours, Matthew skipped rocks in the lake and rock climbed while I threw rocks in the lake attempting to skip them.
He claims next time we go we will be riding mountain bikes...wish me luck!!!
