finally an experSURt on SUR

After three months I am finally caught up to real time on Vanderpump Rules, and luckily just in time for the annual SUR photo shoot!!! You can imagine the emotional roller coaster I just put myself through by squishing five years of reality TV into three months, but I don't regret one minute of it. There were lots of tears, not only on the screen... I get very invested in my shows. I want you to know exactly what my journey was with each personality, so you can understand the reasoning behind my opinions that I will share with you in my future posts.

​Stassi Schroeder

Stassi remained my favorite through out all 5 seasons. In my opinion the only season she truly was a "villain" is the first one. She was in her early twenties, living in LA, and starring in a reality show. That is a lot to take on. In her podcasts she admits, herself that she was a drama queen during her first season, but since then she has learned to just be herself and tell the truth. Claiming that that is how you make good TV...

How to be a reality star Step #1: Don't hold back, but don't push it to the point where you aren't even being yourself. If everyone on the show was a Scheana then it would not have made it to a fifth season.

Stassi no doubt knows how to make good television.

Currently: She is struggling with being newly single in a group of friends where it seems like everyone has their lives together except her.

Jax Taylor

Not. A. Fan. Jax's first impression on all of us was not a good one. He is very dumb and I honestly do not know why any of those people are still friends with him. He cheats, he steals and he hasn't fully owned up or apologized for any of his mistakes. I feel bad for Brittney because he does treat her like a door mat, but she must have known what she was getting into when she dropped everything and moved to LA for him. There is a reason Tom and Tom are such good friends and Jax is always on the outs. Jax only cares about himself, the moment something doesn't go his way he is no longer interested in having that relationship. There are not many ways to describe Jax Taylor because he has no depth to him at all. He is just a dumb 40 year old who is still bar tending and hanging out with 30 year olds getting drunk and going to parties. Once you hit a certain age it is time to grow up and Jax is WELL PAST his due date.

Currently: Jax and Brittany are a complete mess. He holds things over her head, like her boob job, and treats her like a maid. I am not sure that Jax has matured at all throughout the course of this show. He has gone from a cheater to a liar and now currently he is a thief. What is it going to be next Jax Taylor?

Katie Maloney

During the first few seasons Katie was completely irrelevant to me. It wasn't until Stassi moved back to LA that I started to like her. She is a voice of reason in a lot of situations... until tequila Katie comes out. When tequila Katie comes out she stirs that pot right up. Katie doesn't deal with anybodies drama, not even her own. She has a tendency to brush things under the rug pretending like they didn't happen. I don't know why she still hasn't caught on to the fact that those things will at some point reappear.

Currently: Deciding to hide her feelings about Tom cheating on her in Vegas was a bad call on her part. Since she let this fester inside of her for so long she has put their relationship in a dangerous place. If she would have dealt with the situation when it happened their wouldn't be so much tension and anger build up inside of her right before she is supposed to get married. I hate watching Tom and Katie fight.

Scheana Shay

During the first season I really didn't like her, she was so entitled and didn't know her place. The second season I didn't mind her but she wasn't my favorite person in the world. My opinion never wavered through seasons three, four, and five, I find her incredibly annoying. After watching how she handled her marriage I don't have any respect for her at all. Her husband was actually scared of her when they got married, your husband can't be intimidated to talk to you, you are his wife!!! Scheana, being a people pleaser, ends up creating a lot more drama than she would if she would just live her own life and mind her own business. She somehow finds away to make everything about herself. When Tom, Ariana, and Lala are discussing the fact that Lala didn't show up for Ariana's birthday for some reason Scheana makes her way into the conversation even though she isn't even clear on all the details.

Currently: Scheana is constantly giving marriage advise to Katie and Tom while they go though some of the hardest times of their entire relationship right before their wedding. Which is very ironic because Scheana and her husband are now currently divorced.

Tom Schwartz

Tom has always been one of my favorites. He is so funny but never quite knew what was going on around him until the past two years. He has matured a lot over the course of the show and it is obvious that he is trying really hard to make this commitment to Katie and marry her. I think he has always had good intentions but he is having a really hard time facing the fact that he is growing up.

Currently: Tom is struggling with the idea of marrying Katie because she has been so difficult lately. Tom is constantly stressing about the price of the wedding, if Katie will forgive him for sleeping with that girl in Vegas last year, and how to keep Ariana as his grooms(wo)man without her causing drama with the bridesmaids. He is having a tough season but in the end I hope it all turns out happy for him and Katie.

Kristen Doute

Kristen needs to mind her own business more than anyone else. She made a bad impression on me through the first few seasons and I am having trouble changing my mind about her for the current season. The difference in her mistakes and Stassi's are that Stassi didn't lie about cheating on her boyfriend with her best friend's boyfriend. I understand she has changed and she is now dating Carter but I don't think I can ever look at her the same again because of the fact that she dated DJ James Kennedy...disgusting.

Currently: Kristen, Katie, and Stassi are all back to being best friends. After dating Sandoval for 6 years then DJ James Kennedy for two years she is now with a man name Carter who she claims to be very happy with. I just cannot get my self to like her, her comedy show made me cringe and I do not think she has good intentions. She seems to always be looking for trouble.

Tom Sandoval

I really enjoy watching Tom. Breaking up with Kristen was the second best decision he has ever made because dating Ariana is the first. Tom and Ariana's relationship has grown stronger and stronger as the show has progressed and I find it so refreshing. Tom only has the best intentions for all of his friends, he minds his own business, and he tells someone when they are out of line. This man's only flaw is his new found highlights that debuted in season 5.

Currently: Sandoval' main focus this season is to make sure everyone around him is happy and to cut the drama out of his life. Ariana and him are still madly in love. He wants to marry her but unfortunately she doesn't believe in marriage. Tom desires only the best for his friends and he will doing anything in his power to make sure Schwartz has a happy marriage.

Ariana Madix

I love Ariana, her and Toms relationship is so cute. They always have each others backs, which is a rare find in this bunch of people. It is no doubt that they are perfect for each other. Ariana is also one of my favorites in the cast, her bluntness making everyone else's head spin, happened to be the reason I love her. That group of girls cannot handle someone who actually doesn't want to be involved in any of their petty drama so they don't know how to react to anything she says.

Currently: Katie isn't the biggest fan of Ariana so she didn't ask her to be a bridesmaid. Like usual, Ariana could careless but Schwartzy felt sorry for the girl and asked her to be one of his grooms men. Ariana tried to extract her self from that group of girls by Sandoval and her trying to befriend Lala. That blew up in their faces when Lala stood them up for Ariana's birthday trip. Ariana decided to return back to the original group of girls and is now trying to figure out how to be a groomsman while half the bridal party hates her.

Lala Kent

Lala showed up in the fourth season and became a hostess at SUR. When she first appeared I was ready for a fresh face and was eager to see what she would bring to the group. Strike one was Jax, and strike two was James. She quickly became irrelevant and I am thrilled to say she is officially gone and is not going to appear at the reunion this year. Bye Lala. I won't miss you referring to yourself in third person or all of your shady boyfriends.

Currently: BYE

DJ James Kennedy

When James first joined the group he seemed to be on good terms with everyone, choosing to date Kristen and letting her take control of him for so long was a very bad call on his part. Since the break up, he has gone from girl to girl trying to make himself feel better but sadly I think that Kristen is the best he will ever do. (she wasn't even that great... at all)

Currently: James is currently dating a pageant girl that he has supposedly cheated on more than once during their six month relationship. Raquel isn't the brightest girl in the bunch, so she doesn't seem to care much, what ever James tells her she believes. After getting fired from PUMP and SUR James tries to make a name for himself on his own. I would have fired him a long time ago if it were up to me.
