A Few Things You Need to Know About Me

Before you continue reading this blog you probably want to know a few things about me to find out if the rest of this is actually worth your time. In my little world I know you will love it because it is all about me and clearly I'm my favorite subject but deep down I know not everyone wants to talk about Kate Spade and Victoria Biro, so I`ll give you the chance to give this read a rain check if you aren't intrigued by my adorable personality and extremely basic lifestyle.
I freaking Love karaoke:
My junior year of high school, U.S. history was full of the weirdest bunch of people you could ever encounter in the hallowed halls of FMHS. The most normal one, Courtney, quickly became a close friend of mine, keep in mind that there were really no other options in this environment. When I first started talking to Courtney she wouldn't stop talking about her karaoke birthday party. At first I thought “lame, a karaoke machine.. how old are we??” but as the days went by I kept thinking about it and the idea of singing Lady Marmalade where I can hear my self singing those sweet runs imitating Christina. Instead of having to try and over sing her while still keeping the music at a volume that makes surrounding cars stare at a stop light. Finally I gave in, one Friday night I made my sister drive me over to Courtney's house (unannounced) I sang karaoke all night. The rest is history.
I freaking love karaoke.
My Fanny Pack Is A Part Of Me:
This rule of mine used to be a lot more cringe because fanny packs were known to be social suicide. They simply were not cool and everyone told me they would never be, like any true trend setter I didn't listen to them and I stuck with it, also I thought it was a very useful invention. It`s a purse you don't have to hold and if you are even the slightest bit bloated no one can tell! Your fanny pack covers it!
My Best Friend is Victoria Biro aka V*star:
Victoria is my best friend and has been since April 6th of 2012. I bring her up constantly, in my defense she is extremely talented, funny, and the best best friend I could ever ask for. If your best friend was the best dancer at a preforming arts school, a perfect pianist, an angelic singer, and gorgeous you wouldn't shut up about her either. I`ll talk more about her later, hang tight!
Kate. Spade. :
People have obsessions, mine just happens to be Kate Spade, If you don`t know who Kate Spade is I don`t think this blog is for you, you are welcome to keep reading but just a warning you will get bored very quickly. In high school I vividly remember always sitting in the back of class when her new lines were going to come out, so I could see it all the second it was released. I would bring my laptop to lunch then type out a review on each new piece and text it to my mom. All I ever asked for, for my birthday and Christmas is Kate Spade, yes I know I am obsessed but it`s not an unhealthy obsession so let me delight in the fact that there is a purse shaped like a car out there and making a pair of wedges resemble an ice cream truck isn't childish, it`s classy and charming.
Eye Makeup:
This is plain and simple, I wear a lot, sorry okay. I love eye shadow and all the sparkles and colors and drawing the perfect wing can make my day 10x better. I am perfectly confident with out any make up but I question the girls who never wear any at all. Make up rocks, why wouldn't you use it??
Yes, I`m in Theatre, No That Doesn't Mean I Am A Kook:
Most people when they hear I`m in theatre their image of me goes from 100 to 0. They hear theatre and they immediately think “oh she's crazy, she is never gonna shut up about show tunes and she will want to mirror constantly” No that is not the case at all. I will say that some, well most theatre kids are like that and I hate them just as much as you do. Please do not put me in the same category as them before getting to know me. I`m a delight to have around, I'm a little on the hyper side but its all in good fun. I don't just yell “purple ostrich!” to get attention, I`m classier than those crazies.

My junior year of high school I started getting in to yoga and haven`t looked back. I love vinyasa, it`s the kind of yoga where they turn the heat up to 10000 degrees and then you have to somehow figure out how to balance on your wet sweaty mat. Sounds like hell to most people but I love it. It is something relaxing but also hard work I can do by myself at the end of the day and feel completely refreshed afterwards.
I Don`t Like Movies:
Surprisingly I have never been a fan of movies, I have a few movies I will watch like Grease, Mean Girls, or High School Musical. I may love to see live theatre but the thought of going to see a movie sounds like hell to me more often than not. I have no interest in investing myself in characters that are only going to last a few hours, no matter how good the movie is. If I am with a big group of people I will suck it up and watch the film, faking a smile while I sit there on my phone for 3 hours but if it`s family movie night and we are watching Rocky or The Pursuit of happiness you can go ahead and count me out. I will be watching my 20 minute sitcoms happily by myself in the other room. This movie thing applies to 40 min soap operas as well, I just don't have a long enough attention span to watch Mcdreamy save lives for longer than 20 min, why go through the drama and tears when you know Nate and Hailey will end up having the baby and get married resulting in a picture perfect lifestyle anyway? I just don't think its worth it, I would rather lose control laughing, enjoying 2 episodes of New Girl rather than one endless episode of a nameless patient on the operating table.
